So . . . How Did We Do?
In a word – AMAZING! The U11 Norfolk Knights started the year strong, kept up the momentum throughout the season, and ended with an incredible finish!

The Knights ended the regular season amongst some strong, competitive teams with an 18-2-1 record.  After losing the first game of the season at Pelham the Knights came back with 12 straight victories until January, when Covid closed everything down.  The regular season started up again after a three-week hiatus with a loss to Fort Erie, a tie to our nemesis - Pelham (the second of two games that day!), and a half dozen wins.  We were still playing hard as we headed down the final stretch - ending the regular season in first place!

In the meantime, the Knights participated in four tournaments – St. Thomas, Barrie, East Gwillimbury, and most recently St. Catharines.  Our tournament results of 12-5-3 led to two semi-final finishes, a finalists, and a championship!

The Knights then completed the OMHA qualifiers against the other A teams in Niagara with a strong finish (3-0-1) to prove we have what it takes to move on to the provincial championships.

Finally, on the weekend we met again with Fort Erie and defeated them in the well-fought Niagara League playoffs with the top 5 teams in our division.  But this time we cinched our Niagara League Championship title (4-0-0).

An amazing inaugural year!

Good luck to our U11 Knights and all of the Knights players as they head into their OMHA championship tournaments!

Thanks to the Affiliated Players who helped us along the way.  Thanks to the Coaches whose unfailing dedication and belief in our boys kept them playing hard and fair.  Thanks to the Parents for the early mornings, late nights, 24/7 - 8 days a week hockey involvement, and for the care and commitment you show to all of the team members and each other!

But most of all thanks to the boys for a great year.  No matter what the result this weekend you have made us proud all year!!
