The start of the Norfolk Knights season is fast approaching!  Below, find some preliminary information how what the season start will look like:

Development Skates

Beginning immediately after Labour Day all players registered with Norfolk Hockey will begin development skates with their age division.  Ice times are posted on the website and the Norfolk coach for your division will be in contact regarding these sessions.

Goalie clinics with On Point Goaltending will also start Saturday September 11, 2021 at Talbot Gardens.

-8 am for U9 to U11
-9 am for U12 to U18

The cost of these clinics is included in your registration fees so we encourage all goalies to attend.

Tryouts will begin September 24th for U12 (minor peewee) and older divisions, and September 27th for U9-U11 divisions (major novice and minor/major atom).  Please watch for news on tryout registration in the coming weeks.

The tryout fee will be $60 and all players are guarantees 3 skates.  Tryouts must be complete within 7 days.

Regular Season

Norfolk Hockey is exciting to be joining the Niagara District Hockey League.  We are awaiting confirmation on the other teams who will play in our division.

We note that the OMHA has removed “elimination-style playdowns“ in exchange for a playoff format which will see more teams playing more hockey, later in the season.

OMHA Vaccination Policy

On September 3rd the OMHA has adopted a mandatory vaccination policy.  This policy affects all vaccine-eligible players, game officials, OMHA officials, instructors, association officials, team officials and volunteers.  All affected persons must be fully vaccinated by October 31, 2021 to participate in sanctioned activities.  Please see the attached OMHA Vaccination Policy for full details.

More information will be shared in the days and weeks ahead, so please check the website regularly.  In the meantime, we look forward to seeing you at the arena soon!
