Norfolk Knights Shine with Triple Title Weekend
The Norfolk Knights opened their season in spectacular fashion, competing in four early bird tournaments across the province and bringing home three championships and one finalist finish. The U10B, U12A, and U13A teams each captured tournament titles with strong performances in Aurora, Hespeler, and Georgian Bay, while the U16A squad battled their way to the championship game in Hespeler before falling just short in a 1–0 defensive showdown. Altogether, it was a standout weekend that showcased the Knights’ depth, talent, and determination across all age groups.

The U16A Knights kicked things off in Hespeler with a 2–0 win over Bruce Grey before rolling past the host Shamrocks in a convincing 7–0 victory. After a pair of tight matchups with Collingwood, Norfolk advanced to the championship game against South Simcoe. In a defensive battle that went down to the wire, the Knights fell just short in a 1–0 loss to finish as tournament finalists.

In Georgian Bay, the U13A Knights battled through a difficult round robin before finding their stride when it mattered most. Norfolk worked their way into the final and delivered a complete team effort in a 5–2 win over the host Islanders to capture the championship banner.

The U12A Knights also brought home hardware in Hespeler. After picking up key wins against South Oxford and St. Mary’s and pushing through a challenging round robin, they earned a rematch with Humber Valley in the championship game. The Knights turned out another great performance, skating to a 3–1 victory to secure the title.

Rounding out the weekend was the U10B team in Aurora, who put together a dominant run from start to finish. Norfolk rolled through round-robin play with lopsided wins over Upper York, Newmarket, and South Simcoe before defeating Burlington 5–2 to advance to the final. In the rematch against Burlington, the Knights once again proved too strong, skating away with a 5–1 win and the championship.

With three tournament victories and a silver medal performance across four age groups, the Norfolk Knights kicked off the season in impressive fashion and set a high bar for the months ahead.
