Championship Weekend for Norfolk Knights
It was another banner weekend for the Norfolk Knights, as three teams — U10A, U15B, and U16A — captured tournament championships across Ontario. From overtime heroics to dominant shutout wins, the weekend showcased the strength, depth, and teamwork that define Knights hockey.

U16A Champions – South Oxford Storm Classic

The U16A Norfolk Knights completed a perfect weekend, finishing 5–0 to claim gold at the South Oxford Storm Classic.

Norfolk opened with a 3–0 shutout over the Lake Erie North Stars, followed by a 4–2 win against the Southeast Surge and a 6–1 victory over the Haldimand River Kings to close out round-robin play.

In Sunday’s semifinal, the Knights blanked the host South Oxford Storm 4–0 before defeating Lake Erie once again 3–1 in the championship final.

From start to finish, the U16A Knights were in command — strong goaltending, disciplined defense, and balanced scoring carried them to an undefeated championship run.

U10A Champions – South Oxford Storm Classic

The U10A Norfolk Knights delivered a statement performance at the South Oxford Storm Classic, skating to a 5–1 record and capturing the championship banner with a commanding 7–1 victory over the host South Oxford Storm.

After a close opening-game loss to that same Storm team, Norfolk regrouped and dominated the rest of the tournament, outscoring opponents 29–7 over their next five games. A 7–0 semifinal shutout over the Delhi-Norwich 59ers set the tone for the rematch, where the Knights’ relentless pressure, defensive composure, and full-team effort powered them to a decisive championship win.

The team’s balanced offense, strong goaltending, and commitment to structure led the way as Norfolk closed out the weekend with five straight victories and a well-earned title.

U15B Champions – Clearview Early Bird Classic

The U15B Norfolk Knights captured the Clearview Early Bird Championship in dramatic fashion. Norfolk opened with a 4–1 win over Orillia and a 5–0 shutout of Collingwood before a setback against the host Clearview squad. The Knights rebounded with a 4–1 victory over Twin Centre to advance to the final.

In the championship game, Norfolk trailed 1–0 late in the third before tying the game with just one minute remaining to force overtime. Then, with only seconds left in extra time, the Knights struck again to seal a thrilling 2–1 overtime win and bring home the gold.

It was a weekend defined by resilience, determination, and teamwork from start to finish.
